Lone Grove - Military Graveside Inurnment Services for Mr. Gary Edward Pierce, 76 of Ardmore are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Lone Grove Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.
Gary was born December 27, 1944 in Sulphur, Ok to the late Mr. Ruben "Dick" Lee Pierce and Mrs. Merle Dale (Collins) Pierce. He departed from this life on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 in Ardmore.
Gary was raised in various towns. He started working at the age of 14 as a grocery sack boy. Gary enlisted in the Army Reserve in Ardmore at the age of 18 serving as an Mechanic/Inspector from 1971-1988 then transferring to the Texas National Guard serving from 1988-2001 where he retired as a heavy mobile equipment inspector. After retirement, he worked for Lowe's as a Sales Specialist for a short time. Gary enjoy gardening, taking care of his yard and searching his genealogy, but most of all he enjoyed being around his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Gary is survived by daughters, Laura Chilcutt and husband David of Weatherford, TX and Kerri Manning and husband David of Marietta; brother, Jimmie Pierce and wife Beverly of Lawton; 4 grandchildren, Brooke Diaz and husband Jacob, Alex Manning, Sarah Manning and Dylan Chilcutt; great grandson, Kash Diaz and by numerous other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society.
