Obituary

Comanche - Mr. Milton "Sam" Earl Dunn, 78 of Comanche was born on April 9, 1942 in Comanche, OK to the late Mr. Ester Earl Dunn and Mrs. Johnna Mae (Pickett) Dunn. He departed from this life on Friday, April 17, 2020 in Oklahoma City, OK.

A Memorial Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date. Cremation services are under the care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home.

Sam was raised in Comanche graduating from Comanche High School in 1960. He attended college at Murray State and then Oklahoma State University, where he studied to be a Game Warden. He always loved and supported FFA and Agriculture. Sam voluntarily joined the United States Army and served honorably. He worked mostly as a pipefitter for the Local Union #334 of Oklahoma City, being employed for them for 30 plus years.
Sam loved the community of Comanche. He enjoyed attending the Seniors dance every Saturday evening at Duncan. He was an avid gardener, bird hunter, and fisherman who always enjoyed the company of his family and friends. Sam was a past member of the First Baptist Church of Comanche.

Preceding him in death are his parents; and his aunt Sue who was like a second mother to him.

Sam is survived by his daughter, Amber Faught and husband Mike of Wilson; son, Rodney Dunn of Rusk, TX; brother, Chad Dunn and wife Shirley of Comanche; sister, Saundra Thompson of Amarillo, TX; girlfriend, Dolly Merrill of Duncan; grandchildren, Dakota, Cooper, Megan, Madison, Molly, and McKinley, ; special cousins, Deborah Blanton, Bonnie Graham and Vickie Byerly; Dolly's children, Lynda Ramsey and Brent Merrill and her grandchildren, Kylie, Karson, and Jack; and her great grandsons, Knox and Collins, whom Sam considered all of them like his own; numerous other family and countless friends.
